If I was doing dances like in the book touching spirit bear I would do the devils club dance and I would stand there. I would stand close to the fire and poke anyone who got to close. I would then spread my hands away from me to imitate leaves and contract them after a few minutes. From the devils club I would learn that you would only get hurt if you try to hurt it.

For my second dance I would dance a spruce tree dance. I would start on the ground and slowly rise up. I would take some rocks on the way up. Then when I was standing all the way up I would drop some rocks at regular intervals. Finally, when I am out of rocks I will fall over. From spruce trees you learn strength, endurance, and pride.

Finally, for my last dance I would dance the crow dance. First I would pretend to fly from place to place. Then I would start towards the fire. First, I would start a few feet away, slowly working my way in towards the fire. The fire pops and I flee, but only till I know the threat is gone. Then I work my way back to the fire and my dance ends. From the crow I learn caution and perseverance.

I would do a dog dance to honor dogs. In the dance there would be lots of barking and sniffing the ground. Also I think I would have to fake pee on a fire hydrant, chase my tale, and do lots of circles before I sit down in the end of the dance. I would learn that being like a dog is fun at times when you don’t have to worry about anything and you can do you business any were you want.

I would do a flower dance to honor all flowers. It would be kind of a slower dance because plants don’t grow very fast. I would start off really low to the ground in a ball and then slowly rise up, expanding my arms, fingers, and head, as I got taller. This flower dance would symbolize growth of a plant and I would learn that all living things grow up to be bigger.

I would do an eagle dance to honor birds. In the dance I would walk around with my arms out to represent gliding, and then after a while I would start a circular pattern when I am walking. All of a sudden I would break out into a sprint, tightening my arms closer to my body and then swiftly grab another little bird with my feet. I would learn that different animals have different ways of catching there own food.

One dance that I would dance would be the Spruce tree dance by swaying and waving my branches around in the wind. I would also wiggle around like a squirrel ran up my trunk, but always keep my feet planted. Towards the end of my dance I would fall over and be new life for other animals. By dancing I would learn that everything in the world uses other things for new life. I should also learn that even some of the biggest things could fall down and end.

Another dance would be the mosquito dance. I would fly around from thing to thing pretending to suck the blood while making a buzzing/humming noise. When I would suck the blood I could pretend to be full afterward. By doing the mosquito dance I should learn that small things needs to stay alive to keep the food chain in order. Also that by biting us is how they stay alive.

A dance that I could also do would be the bear dance. I would walk around with my head down low sniffing for food and do a lumbering walk. Then I could pretend to be in a stream with my head under water looking for fish and when one comes by snatch it up in my mouth. I would then pretend to dig at the ground and find a whole bunch of roots to eat. The bear dance would teach me to survive on the wilderness more because it eats foods that I would eat too and knows how to get them easily.

I would do the flower power dance. In this dance I would need an umbrella. The umbrella would be used for over dramatized upward motions symbolizing a plant growing. Then I would come up and bloom with happy movements and twirling around the umbrella, for a very short time. The I would drop the umbrella and fall symbolizing a plant withering a dieing. from this dance I would learn the deep struggle a flower gos through for just a few days of light and happiness.
The next dance I would bring into play the ant dance. By frantically scurrying here and there. Then I would make a huge pile of rocks at the feet of someone. After I placed the last stone I would slowly back away as if in respect. From this dance I would hopefully learn how the unity of ants all bringing food back to their hill is inspiring. Ants will just go around if something is in their way or if their hill they will automatically start reconstruction.
The last dance that I would dance would be the the humming bird dance. In this dance I would swing my arms fast in tight little circles representing a humming birds wing beat. then I would run around in circles making very unsure movements. then at the last second I would be going fast and smack into the air which would represent a window. In this dance I hope that everyone would learn not to be insecure like a humming bird.

I would do the skunk cabbage dance. It would start slow and on the ground and then I would slowly come up. It would be very hard to try and be a skunk cabbage. As all the snow melted I would get big and tall. Then I would be a person walking by and plugging their nose form the stink. Then I would be eaten by a slug. This dance would show that even if something doesn't look pretty from the outside it can be very important to other animals. That would make me realize that i cant judge people from just looking at them. I have to get to actually know them to find out if they are a good person or not.

Another dance I would do would be the earthworm dance. I would start out inching along the ground like a worm. Then I would pretend to eat something gross looking from the ground. Next, the dance would be digesting the food and then pooping it out, leaving behind nice clean dirt. This shows that no matter how small the animal is, it is important. Worms make clean dirt for us and even if people don't realize it, they are a huge part of the ecosystem.

The last dance I would do would be the fish dance. I would start out swimming through the ocean and getting eaten by a seal. Then, I would be another fish getting eaten by a shark. Then, I would be a school of fish and show that as a school, fish are much safer and much less likely to be eaten. I would do that by making my hands the fish and myself a shark and trying to eat my hands. This would teach me that if I stay together with other people we will all be much stronger.

The fish dace. The fish dace would be like a waltz, a slow graceful dance. The slow and gracefulness would represent the slow and calm swim through a lake. Then just like the a fish going through rapids the dance would get faster and faster moving into a tango. This dance shows how hectic it is going up rapids. By understanding this it helps me realize how a fish has to live most of it's live in motion. Then knowing that you can see how your life reflects from it.

Then I would do the tree dance. It would be like a slow peaceful dance. Gentility swaying back and forth like a tree in the wind. I learn that tree live a long life and that it always ends in some way and some time. Weather the death is form a chainsaw or natural you must live it while it lasts. The dance will end in a death, peaceful or not you choose.

The last dance will be the butterfly dance. Fluttering around going every where. Then the wind comes and catches you off guard. The lessen is that you have to be ready for everything because just a little blow you off balance. So if you spread your wings out and just go with everything that hits you, you won't be pushed around.

Slithering on the ground and crawling away from fast predators. I would move slowly and showing the strain of keeping safe. The drumbeat would be slow and speed as something is happening, salt is being poured on me and I shrivel. Then as I slowly die, the beat would get slower and slower until no movement or sound is left. I would learn it’s not easy being a slug and their slow struggle for survival.

“Bzzzz. Bzzzzz” I would sing as I circled many times then landed. The mosquito dance is at a fast tempo and as if a hand swings at me, I get scared and fly away. I look hesitantly and hope to find something for brunch. Far in the distance I see a group of people, looks like it’s a feast today! I swarm through the crowd, in the dance I am just swarming and looking. I stop and pause, then fear sets into my eyes and “smack, squish” I fall to the ground. The mosquito was just trying to find a meal and what did it get, a big smack! I learn that the mosquito will try everything for it’s meal and risk its very life.

I fall to the ground and start to roll; I am doing the pinecone dance. I keep rolling until I settle, then I make motions of covering myself with dirt for planting. I struggle to reach out of my formed shape and start to grow. One arm pops out and soon my legs become roots, I am a tall Spruce tree and I sway in the wind. I will sway in the wind for many years, until my trunk can take no more. A motion of dropping something and that is my very own pinecone, it too will grow into a mighty tree like me. I learned that the trees need to drop the pinecones, so we can have more trees and what a journey for a pinecone from its mother tree to it’s resting spot.

I would probably do a dance for the salmon. I would imagine the life cycle, and how it's left alone as an egg and fry, and has to find food and fend for itself. I would also imagine the trip to the ocean, and all the predators like fishing boats and other animals. The dance would be a slow beat, slithering around, looking for food, and then a faster beat as I'm carried into the ocean, being chased my boats and other animals. Then it would return to a slow beat, as I went back up the river. I would learn that even if your alone in life, you can be part of a good cause.

Another dance I would do is the mosquito dance. The mosquito dance would be a fast paced dance. I would imagine buzzing around, seeing everything that's going on, getting trapped in rooms, always being swatted at, and scary spiders. I would make a buzzing noise, and circle a few time, then pretend to be trapped, and run around violently to show being swatted at. Then I would pretend to be stuck in a web. I would learn that sometimes the best way to survive, is to avoid everything negative in life.

The last dance I would do is the barnacle dance. The barnacle dance would be a slow dance. I would imagine being a barnacle and finding a rock to latch onto and would float around. Once I found a rock, I would stick to it and move where ever the rock moved, by pretending to be holding something big while floating around. Then I would imagine trying to grab particles of food, and wave my arms up and down the motion that the barnacle does. I would learn that sometimes the safest place to be is your home.

I would do a fish, a deer, and a hawk dance. For the fish I would pretend to swim around and flap my gills. For the deer I would bound around in a circle and use my hands for antlers. And for the hawk I would flap my hands like they are wings and pretend to fly around.

From the fish I would learn awareness and sense of direction, because when a fish is swimming in a stream they have to be aware of their surroundings. If they don't they might get caught by a human, or eaten by a bear. So they can teach me a lot about being careful in different situations.

The deer would teach me responsibility and strength. because the deer has to provide for its family and make sure they always get something to eat. And they have to be strong to protect and defend their family to make sure nothing bad will happen to them. that is why the deer is a good model of responsibility and strength.

And the hawk can teach me to be patient. Because the hawk is always patient when hunting for food or waiting for food to even show up. So i think this bird would be a good roll model for patience.

I would pick the eagle first. Soaring in the sky, as if they didn't have any problems. If I were to do the eagle dance I would honor it by pretending to fly in the sky, circling the waters. Then swiftly swoop down as if I was going to catch a fish in the water. I would learn that no matter how hard life is, just keep soaring like an eagle and go on with life.

I would also choose the bear dance. To honor the bear i will peacefully walk around in the open with my bear cubs. Then pretend like I'm being threatened by humans so I let out a fierce growl to show them that I'm not scared. Then pretend as if i was drinking from a stream, and suddenly I throw my hand at the water pretending like it was a bears paw trying to grab a fish in the stream. From this dance, I would learn that, there are always going to be threats and struggles in life, but as long as you have family, you're okay.

I would also do the wolf dance, and to honor the creature i will pretend to run and run. Then pretend like I'm drinking from a stream, then run more, along with the pack. Learning that like wolf packs, you need the help of others.
