This book sounds like it is a very sad book. I would hate to haft to listen to the reason somebody had died and if i was one if the reasons i would feel horrible. I agree with you that rumors are a bad thing but not the worst that can happen because the people who spread them arn't really trying to get the person mad or hurt, at least not all the time, but sometimes people do take things the wrong way or people try to make things look bad and people get hurt. This book sounds like a page turner but I'm not sure if its a book for me.

The first scene you said sounds sort of very creepy. Do you think that she died? I think she did and that is sad. I think the man should of told the people what they were going to actually be doing on the island. I have heard that this book is better than the movie, and I'm really curious to read it. The book does sound a lot more grotesque though.

This book is amazing, and I am so happy that you are reading it! At first, I really didn't understand it, but as I read more and more I was addicted and I couldn't put the book down. I read that there is going to be a movie with Selena Gomez, but the Hannah I envisioned from the book really didn't seem anything like a role that she could play. I already can tell that the book is still going to be 100x better than the movie, so I hope that other people will read the book before the movie comes out. I am glad you are enjoying it!

I am so excited to read this book when I am done with Perfect. The story line seems so interesting, and really new, because usually Ellen Hopkins just writes about teenagers and their problems. You are totally right when you say they don't seem like the "typical mothers" because I don't personally know any mothers who act like this. It's really sad that one of Marissa's problems is her son being gay, because people can't change who they are, and it's sad when a mother can accept that.

The ending of this book sounds very predictable and typical. All these things went wrong that were really terrible, yet everything seems like it ended up almost perfectly. I'm not saying that is bad at all, I'm just saying. I feel bad for the character Annabel, but it's good things started working out for her. I think it is true about if people were to just listen, things would be better though.

I am commenting on alleela's post
I have read the hunger games and i loved it. There is tons of emotions in this book and tons of action. This book is perfect for everybody. I never really understood the government who did or invented the games. What is the point in killing of the strongest people in the sectors. I guess it kept people scared but if i was there i would get some people revolting. The book is amazing keep reading and i hope you enjoy it.

It seems like the whole thing with something inside someone for somebody to control has been done before, but it is still pretty interesting. I love all the characters name, they seem so unique and funny. I'm sort of wondering about the theme, and I hope that the characters end up well in the end.

It would be a little scary to have someone bring you a tape and tell you that you are one of the reasons that this girl committed suicide. This girl had a really messed up life if all of this stuff really happened to her. It is no wonder that this girl killed herself. That sounds like some good advice, not just turning around to spread the rumors that you hear when you have no idea what the facts are behind the story. I think that this book would be a thriller to read during the summer, if I ever had time, for a couple of days just in leisure time.

What was the event that demolished the relationship between Theresa and her husband? This book sounds like a cheesy romantic type of book just from the little quote that you gave about how Garret feels about his life right then. Yea, it is pretty interesting that the author would choose the ocean to represent the pain and distress that Garret is going through while seeking some sense of peace by writing letters in a bottle and trowing them out into the ocean.

I've heard of this book before and I think the theme of this book is so important. I very much agree with you when you say "The pretty clear theme of this book is having an impact on people without you even knowing". It's crazy how many suicides there are and when some one takes their life they don't realize how much there affecting some one else. This book makes you see how many people really do care even if they did something to hurt you at some point. It also seems to make you think more about what you say and how you react to other people.
