The wave represents a single person in the world while the ocean means that everyone is connected in some type of way so that there is a mutual bond between everyone. Even if you do not know the person you have some type of connection with them because you both are a part of the ocean.

Morrie says that a wave is just one with the ocean and that is how Morrie is thinking of himself. He says that we are all part of a bigger cause. Morrie's metaphor for the wave is basically telling us that even if we know that the end is near we should still enjoy our life and never take it for granted. We should just live as best as we can and never let a day go by that we regret. Morrie believes that we are all part of a much higher purpose and once we die then we give back to the world.

Morrie says that he is not just a wave, he is part of the ocean. I think he means that all the people in the world make up the ocean, or world. Everyone effects the economy so it isn't just about one person, it's about the whole world. So he is just a part of the ocean, not just a wave. He cares about people, and it shows when he says this. He cries about sad things that happen in the world, and he is a very nice man.

When a wave crashes into land it is forgotten because it is just a wave. If it is part of the ocean it is cycled back and never dies. Morrie relates this to life by saying that if we love each other and are loved back then we will never be forgotten. if we don't give our time and love then we will surly be forgotten.

The wave is a metaphor of a person and A wave is like a person because they both end up dying. The ocean is a metaphor of the society or a community that a person lives in. How this relates to Morrie's message about life is as soon as a person accepts the fact that they are going to die, that is when a person can start living. The metaphor relates to this because every wave in the ocean is eventually going to die.

I think that Morrie is right about it because he says that people sometimes enter marriages to early and when that happens the couple usually end up getting divorced. Yes I do think that sometimes people enter marriage to lightly and when that happens that couple usually ends up just fighting and arguing a lot. Yes I do see marriage in my future. By the person I am in a relationship with helping me reach my goals and like my values. what I look for in a partner is that they don't focus on my negatives, they like being around me and also they like the same things I do.

I think that Morrie's thoughts about Mitch's generation are spot on. They were having a really hard time with the commitment of marriage. A lot of my friends parents have been married more than once. Even my mother has been divorced around that time. People just rush things now more than ever before. I don't see me rushing into anything I am going to take my time. i can see a relationship that meshes with my goals and values. That would be the only kind that would last long enough to even consider marriage anyways. I look for someone who can cheer me up when I am down and really just knows how to have a good time.

Morrie thinks that Mitch's generation has a huge lack of commitment. I do believe that a whole lot of people do enter into marriage way too lightly. They don't think about all of the responsibilities that come with being married and they enter marriage totally unprepared. I could definitely see marriage in my future. I don't think that marriage would affect my goals and values at all. What I look for is someone who has a sense of humor and doesn't always have to rely on others, so I would say kind of independent. Morrie says that the people of Mitch's generation always rush into to marriage and they end up divorced not very long afterwards.

i think that people that are going to get married are more now approaching marriage cautiously because of how the divorce rates are climbing, Most couples are spending time with there spouse much more then be thought of. Which in the long run ends up ruining there marriage all together. I think that a relationship is based on how you see the other person fitting into your life. If the person is right for you then they will understand when your schedule is busy.

I agree with Morrie's theory about Mitch's generation. People are way too selfish these days. I see it all the time, it happened to my parents and i see it all over the world. It seems like people that got married the generation before lasted a lot longer than they do now. Divorce rates are up, i know that. People these days can't be with just one person their whole lives anymore. I do see marriage in my future, but not for a long time. Not until i know for sure i can stay with this person until i die. I want my girl to have the same interests as me. I want to be happy with this person instead of just biting my lip constantly when i don't agree with her. Im not getting married until i am 35.
