- Students, we appreciate your recycling efforts. Please take the lids off your bottles before you recycle them. It is time consuming and messy for students on the recycling committee to have to do it afterwards.
- Juniors: we will have a prom meeting today at noon in Room 8. Be there or be square.
- Attention Future Problem Solvers, are meetings for this week are as follows: Tuesday after school is Erin’s team & Shannon’s team. Wednesday after school is the 7th grade team, Craig’s team & Ben’s team. This is our last practice before competition, be sure to be prepared and come with your materials. See Mrs. Heitz with questions.
- Seniors: Below are some scholarships available to you. Please check out the bulletin for more information, or stop by the office.
- Cordova PTA invites you to our next General Membership Meeting: Tuesday January 26th at 7pm at CHS Library. Bring your ideas – cookies will be served. Among other agenda items, nominations for 2010-2011 Board will be recorded and voted on during this meeting. If you would like to make a nomination of someone, or yourself, then please contact Linee Bradford at 424-5803.
- Seniors: Here are some scholarships available to you.
- 1. Best Buy at www.bestbuy.com/scholarships . These are $1000 scholarships. 1000 will be awarded. Poster is on the senior board. The deadline is February 15th.
- 2. If you are a student with economic need you may apply to www.usafunds.org/scholarship. This company will be awarding scholarships in the amount of $1500. 50% of the scholarships will be targeted to students who, in addition to demonstrating financial need, are members of an ethnic minority or are physically disabled. This scholarship will accept applications until February 15th.
- 3.Truman D. Picard Scholarship is given to Native American/Alaskan students pursuing a higher education in Natural Resources. These applications are due January 29th. This is a $1500 scholarship. For more information, visit www.itcnet.org.
