Are you a student interested in a medical career?  UAA offers a six week intensive summer program for Alaskan high school students who are interested in careers in medicine and other health care careers.  The goal of the program is to foster, affirm, and encourage high school students’ interest in health professions through educational enrichment activities and job shadowing.  There is no cost to participate in this program.  Housing is in the UAA residence hall.  If interested see Mrs. Moe or go online to http://biomed.uaa.alaska.edu/dk_udoc.html

Seniors: How would you like to be an intern for Senator Murkowski in Washington DC this summer?  This internship offers a unique opportunity for graduating seniors to learn about the US Senate, gain experience in a professional office and experience life first hand in Washington DC.  Please see Mrs. Moe for the application.  She has one for each of you!!

Juniors and Seniors:  Wouldn’t you like to get some extra college credits?  By submitting an application to the Rural Alaska Honors Institute you could be selected and be sponsored with a $6000 scholarship that can be used at the Institute.  Application due date is March 31st. Also, be sure to get what you need out of your lockers after school today as you will not be allowed down the hall once the visiting teams move into the rooms.
