With the students’ 1st day of school scheduled for August 20, a quick peek at the calendar reminds us that summer is quickly slipping away from us. As you read through the Patron Newsletter and beginning of the year information sheet, please do not hesitate to contact this office for more information on any of the items referenced, or for any other questions you may have. Even though summer is not over, it’s not too early to prepare for next school year. In addition to the usual new notebooks and pencils, some elementary school students in Alaska will need immunizations before school starts this fall. Children in kindergarten through sixth grade will need to show proof that they have received two varicella (chickenpox) vaccinations or that they already have had the disease.
