1. What are the differences between asexual & sexual reproduction?
I think the difference is that sexual reproduction requires a partner whereas asexual reproduction doesn’t.
2. Why is there asexual reproduction?
I think asexual reproduction exists because life evolved from a single organism therefore the first organism would have to reproduce asexually.
3. Why is there sexual reproduction?
I think there is sexual reproduction because in general it allows for more rapid evolution (combining 2 gene sets).
4. How do you think bacteria reproduce?
I think bacteria reproduce asexually because I remember hearing that bacteria divide in two.
5. How do single-celled organisms like amoeba reproduce?
I would guess that single-celled organisms reproduce asexually because in general they don’t seem complex enough to have different sets of reproductive organs.
6. How do mushrooms & molds reproduce?
I think that mushrooms and molds reproduce by releasing spores into the air and the spores ‘pollinating’ other mushrooms.
7. How do plants reproduce?
I think that plants reproduce by releasing pollin into the air and the pollin fertilizing other plants (of the same species). Note this means that plants can reproduce sexually or asexually.

Those are some good explanations on the ideas of why there is sexual and asexual reproduction in the world. I like the ideas about why single celled organisms and bacteria reproduce asexually. Now that you mention it, I also remember hearing that mushrooms release pollen into the air. I think that you might be right on the idea that a plant can reproduce sexually or asexually, because what would happen if, say a bee landed on a flower to gather pollen and then left but came straight back before landing on another flower. I mean would the bee pollinate the first flower with its own pollen, or would the flower reject its own pollen?
I agree with you about why there is asexual reproduction because that makes since that everything evolved from one thing and had to reproduce asexually.
I think all of your answers seem pretty legitimate and right. I also tried to answer the question on how mushrooms and molds reproduce, and even though I took a guess I knew it probably wasn’t right. Thinking back to it I remember hearing somewhere that they actually reproduce how you said they did. I also thought you’re answer for how plants reproduce was really good.
