Wolverine baseball went 0-2 vs.
Homer on their only trip of the year. Despite not getting a win, the team had a great time. Special thanks to Homer A.D. Mickey Todd for taking such good care of our kids.
The 2009-2010 Wolverine basketball season came to an end in Anchorage on Tuesday. The Lady Wolverines lost a tough game to Glennallen to eliminate them from the tourney. Shortly after that, the boys took the floor and was unable to make shots against a pesky Glennallen team and was also eliminated from the state tourney. Cordova should be very proud of this years accomplishments by our girls and boys teams. Making the state tourney is the goal of every school and Cordova was one of 8 teams to make it. Coach Jason Boerger & Virginia Anderson should be applauded for their outstanding work again this year.
The Way Too Early Ahead…………………..
The Lady Wolverines say goodbye to seniors, Teal Webber, Angela Beedle, Karina Phillips and Dani Hess. Coach Anderson will welcome back starters Misa Webber & Angie Kelly. The Wolverines will also have young returning talent in Erin Hess and Mallory Merritt. Not playing this year due to an off season injury, Kari Gilman will bring another ball handler and shooter to the floor for the 2010-2011 Lady Wolverines. The future is bright indeed.
The boys will not graduate any seniors and return the full squad from this years state tourney team. Next years team will have to learn to play with higher expectations as well has being anointed starting today as the favorites to win the conference next season. With all the returning talent and experience, the Wolverines should have a return to March madness squarely in their sights.
Wolverine baseball & Softball will begin very soon. Please read the informational letter to get better informed on how to be apart of these great programs. READ THIS!
