Boys better watch your back!

Did you know that 94% of the people over 110 years old are women, even though more boys are born each year than girls? Between the ages of 20-24 men have 6 times likely chance of being murdered and 5 times more likely of dying in a non-automobile accident, those years are said to be the danger years. Another interesting fact is that while women most likely suffer from authorities, osteoporosis, and autoimmune disorders they are nothing compared to the life threatening problems men face. Men are more likely to be diagnosed with cancer and heat disease which tend to be life threatening.

We all know that one of the main differences between men and women is the hormones that run through our veins. One of the things you probably didn’t know was that Testosterone raises the bad cholesterol in your body and lower good cholesterol, while estrogen does the exact opposite. Men are also way more likely to die by gunplay; I mean what can you say, men and there guns. However I have to say the shocker of them all is the suicide rate of men. Men complain that women have too many emotions and make everything into a big deal, but by suppressing their emotions they higher the risk of future suicide. From the ages of 75-79 years old men are 9 times more likely to commit suicide. While in an article about men committing suicide on the job says that 4 out of every 5 suicides are men.
Here is the article in which I found all this interesting info.
http://www.newsweek.com/id/215824
and here is the article on suicides on the job

These facts are not only interesting but also surprising in some aspects. Why do you think that boys are born more often then girls?
And
If all this stuff is killing off men, how do all the women die off? Loneliness?

Most male mammals compete amongst each other for their mate. Humans are included. We don’t have horns or antlers to bash each other with, so we invented technology. Male humans, like male sheep, goats, moose, deer, elephants, and many many others, are genetically programmed to tend to be relatively stupid and violent when they are eligible for reproduction-as stated in the website, “between ages 20 and 24—during which men are six times as likely to be murdered and five times as likely to die of a non-automobile accident.” Yes, men can reproduce after their 20’s, but until modern medicine was developed, no one lived much longer after that. It’s not a conscious thing, like “hey there’s a girl, she’ll be impressed if I jump off this building.” Okay, maybe sometimes, but mostly, it’s a subconscious involuntary reptile-brain thing.

“by suppressing their emotions they higher the risk of future suicide” Yep. Absolutely right.

Another reason men tend to die sooner may be their choice of occupations- they are more likely to do manual work than women. Throughout human evolution, the men have spent their time running around chucking spears at big furry things, and each other, while their wives usually had to stay close to home because they were usually either pregnant or caring for young children, occupying themselves with more stationary and intellectual tasks like making clothing and chatting.

In answer to your question, until very recently the women died off during or because of childbirth.

That’s weird that men are more likely to be killed than women by every factor imaginable. I also found on this website http://www.guardian.co.uk/society/2009/sep/17/heart-risk-factors-shorten-lifespan men who smoke are expected to die 15 years early and women who smoke are more likely to die 10 years early. No one knows the reason for this statistic but I thought it was interesting because everything else favored women and smoking does too.

Does anything favor men when it comes to dieing early besides childbirth?
